That the Brimstone Hill Restoration Society was formed by Lieutenant Colonel H A C Howard (then Administrator of the Fortress) in April 1965, which was supported by then Premier Robert L Bradshaw.

2000 (August)	7th Caribbean Festival of Arts is hosted by St. Kitts & Nevis
2000 (October)	Inscription of Brimstone Hill as a UNESCO World Heritage Site of " universal cultural value" is commemorated by a Symposium on Historical Fortifications of the Caribbean, and an Inscription Ceremony, in St. Kitts.
